Fall Salon Series 2013: Celebrating the Arts District!

OPERAPosterThe Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts is pleased to announce our popular Salon Series for Fall 2013. We will sponsor a series of special art events on the second Thursday of the month in October, November and December featuring concerts and lectures on the arts, all scheduled between 7:30 and 9 pm. The events will be held at the historic Turner House, home of the OCSFA, as part of our mission to be a resource for music, art and architecture.

On Thursday, December 12th, Keith Cerny will present “Notes on Opera: By Love Transformed”.  Keith Cerny, General Director and CEO of the Dallas Opera since 2010, discusses the current season at the Dallas Opera and how this established form of music can be a mirror of contemporary life. The season, By Love Transformed, includes classics as well as cutting edge contemporary operas. The lecture will include a musical performance by Dallas Opera vocalists.

Turner House is located at 401 N. Rosemont, 75208.  The presentations will all take place between 7:30 and 9 pm, doors open at 7 pm.  Refreshments will be served.  Tickets will be $20 for non-members and $15 for OCSFA members and students; series tickets are available at $50 for non-members and $35 for members.

Order now using the PayPal tool below. Note: All tickets will be available at Will Call the night of each event.
